Our friend Roger Davis passed away unexpectedly this week.  Roger was loved by nearly everyone he met, and his self-deprecating dry humor were known by many as his trademark style.  He was never one to show up empty-handed, and would pitch in to help others at any cost.  Roger was a gentleman and a man of class.  He was a lover of music and a friend of the local music industry.

If you would like to leave a message or story about Roger for others to see on this site, please email it to me at drmattfwb@cox.net and I'll post them here.

Thank you,
Matt Markel

I recorded "Smile" last night while trying to distract myself from thinking about Roger not being a phone call or text message away.  The lyrics are meaningful on many levels as we reflect on Roger and his life.  ---Matt

Smile though your heart is aching
Smile even though its breaking
When there are clouds in the sky, youll get by
If you smile through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll see the sun come shining through for you

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
Thats the time you must keep on trying
Smile, whats the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

Thats the time you must keep on trying
Smile, whats the use of crying?
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

We are coming up on the one year anniversary of Roger's passing.  Each of us is reflecting on this in our own way.  Please take a moment out this week and give thanks for all of our blessings, and ask for peace for his family.  His sister, Suzy, wrote her thoughts on the tribute page.
